ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Built from the job.
Built for the call.

Most fitness programs are built for people with predictable schedules, normal sleep, and controlled routines. That is not the world first responders live in.

Roger Hill built The Standard Response Performance after years of living the reality generic coaching ignores: long shifts, overtime, disrupted sleep, stress exposure, missed meals, heavy physical demands, and the pressure to keep performing when the body is running on empty.

THE STORY

Why I built The Standard Response Performance

My name is Roger Hill, founder of The Standard Response Performance.

I have spent more than 17 years in law enforcement and corrections, working in a career field that demands a lot from the body, the mind, and the people closest to us. I know what it feels like to work long shifts, mandatory overtime, court days after nights with no sleep, and schedules that make normal health advice almost useless.

I have also spent roughly 25 years lifting and more than 12 years competing in bodybuilding, with multiple overall wins and national-level experience. Bodybuilding taught me discipline, structure, nutrition, accountability, and the importance of doing the work even when motivation is gone.

But law enforcement taught me something different: strength alone is not enough.

You can be strong and still be exhausted. You can look capable and still be under-recovered. You can serve everyone else and still neglect yourself. You can survive the job and still lose your health to the career.

That realization is why I built this business.

The Standard Response Performance exists to help first responders and driven individuals build systems for training, nutrition, recovery, body composition, and long-term wellness that actually fit real life. Not perfect life. Real life.

I know what it feels like to keep going when you are not okay.

A lot of first responders are good at looking fine. We learn to compartmentalize. We learn to keep moving. We learn to stay calm when everyone else is falling apart. We learn to carry things quietly.

But eventually, the body keeps score. Poor sleep catches up. Stress catches up. Bad nutrition catches up. Lack of recovery catches up. The pressure to always be strong catches up.

I built The Standard Response Performance because first responders need more than another motivational quote or random workout plan. They need structure, accountability, recovery, nutrition that works around the job, and strength that supports longevity.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

This is not generic fitness coaching.

Most programs assume a normal schedule. This one is built around the demands of the job.

01 / FIRST RESPONDER REALITY

Built around the schedule

Long shifts, rotating schedules, overtime, broken sleep, stress exposure, duty gear, poor food access, and low recovery are not side notes. They are the starting point.

02 / PHYSIQUE DISCIPLINE

Backed by bodybuilding execution

Decades of lifting and competitive bodybuilding experience bring real structure to training, nutrition, body composition, and accountability.

03 / RECOVERY BUILT IN

Recovery is not optional

YFFR-based breathwork, mobility, sleep strategy, and nervous-system downshifting are built into the standard because the job takes more than muscle.

THE METHOD

The Standard Method

Everything inside The Standard Response Performance is built around five pillars: strength, nutrition, recovery, accountability, and longevity.

This is not about chasing perfection. This is about building standards that hold up under pressure.

  • Strength:  training with purpose so the body becomes stronger, more capable, and more durable.
  • Nutrition:  fueling with structure through macro guidance, meal planning, and realistic strategies.
  • Recovery:  using mobility, breathwork, sleep strategies, and recovery practices to help the body rebuild.
  • Accountability:  weekly check-ins, progress tracking, and honest coaching that keeps clients moving forward.
  • Longevity:  building health for a full career and the life that comes after it.
WHO THIS IS FOR

First responders first. Open to anyone willing to live to the standard.

The Standard Response Performance was built primarily for law enforcement, corrections, fire, EMS, dispatch, military, public safety professionals, academy candidates, and shift workers.

The business also works with driven men and women outside public safety who want structure, accountability, strength, body composition improvement, recovery, and physique development.

If you are willing to do the work, communicate honestly, and build a higher standard, this was built for you.
